Creative Photography and Storytelling Workshops

In a world saturated with images, the photographs that resonate most deeply are those that tell a story. These immersive workshops invites photographers, artists, writers, travelers, and curious observers to develop a richer visual language by learning how to uncover the hidden narratives embedded within landscapes, communities, and everyday spaces. These workshops will also be places where participants learn to develop skills by utilizing various techniques from the fine arts, classic photography and innovative storytelling techniques.

Drawing on more than two decades of experience as an archaeologist, photographer, and storyteller, Fabio Esteban Amador is a National Geographic photographer and explorer who focuses on the documentation of human experience and awakened consciousness through art. In these workshops, Fabio Esteban will  guide participants through a unique creative process inspired by contemporary photography, creative visualization and archaeological inquiry. Participants learn how to “see and read” places, recognize visual clues, and transform observations into compelling photographic narratives.

Utilizing methods inspired by Archaeology, Visual Anthropology, documentary photography and contemporary art, participants will learn how to:

  • Discover hidden narratives within landscapes and communities

  • Develop a personal visual voice

  • Create photographic essays and multimedia stories

  • Use memory, symbolism, and observation as creative tools

  • Build deeper emotional connections with subjects and audiences

  • Transform travel, everyday experiences, and research into meaningful projects
